Well I guess this business with my eyes is related to the weather. Seems skin condition worsens in the cold months. I won't complain about this again because I can actually treat it- and I'm not blind yet thank God.
Been drawing a lot the last little while and taking the odd photos...just finished reinstalling my entire operating system due to having a virus in my e-mail program.
Now some people will say in a whiny voice: "You should find the root of the problem rather than reinstall" often forgetting ( or ignoring ) the fact that reformatting a hard drive and reinstalling the O.S. cleans out the entire system. It's lots of work backing stuff up and then putting all the programs and hardware back in but I'm rather well experienced with that and the only thing I forgot to do was back up a week of calender dates- not that there was tons to say!

I might/most likely have a job starting next week- I will wait a bit before commenting further on that. Hope folks are doing well.

We all know the lovely 'friends' page where you supposedly get to pick and choose what you want to know about the activities of people on your watch list.
I've said it before and I will say it again: IT IS NOT COOL FOR DA TO AUTOMATICALLY "FRIEND" EVERY PERSON YOU CHOOSE TO "WATCH".
Why even put check boxes there when they try to force the decision on you in the first place. I don't know how many times I've had to clear checks off the list because changes didn't stick and now almost every category is checked by default except for scraps.

I 'watch' just under a hundred people and I don't appreciate this system at all.
Some people I have been friends with for a few years and I (want to ) watch their artwork ( deviations ) and journals- I would even watch their scraps but the decisions I make in those check boxes don't always stick so the less I watch the better.

Other people I only want to see their artwork- nothing more and still other people aren't artists but they have interesting journals and that's what I would like to read.

And NO, I don't want to see ANYONE'S critique of another's work. That's checked by default too. The way it works it seems as if DA has been trying to force the world into accepting an automatic 'friending' as perfectly acceptable social networking. They could learn a lesson from Facebook which takes the opposite approach. This is one of the reasons why I loose track of people because I have to unclear all the boxes in frustration that got checked when I hit the 'watch' button which to me still means I want to watch this person by the most obvious means- via their artwork and not from all the other stuff that clutters up the inbox.
It annoys me coming to this site.
