Merritt Viewpoint Panorama

Alternate title as suggested by others:
"A Piece Of God's Country"

Took about 12 shots for this but used around 9...taken from a viewpoint overlooking Merritt, B.C.
Thats hubby in the pic.

The road running from the left and across the mountain in the center of the picture is the Coquihalla Highway ( No. 5 ) which takes you to Vancouver in about 2.5 hours.
Under the shade of the cloud at the mountains base is the first exit into Merritt from the Coq. and another exit to Highway 5A (also retardedly referred to on maps as 97C) which takes you to Princeton in the south or Kelowna and the Okanogan Valley in the South East. You can just make it out running up the hillside towards the left.

Hidden by the trees in the foreground is the Coq. running north to Kamloops and the 'old' highway 5A which basically skirts around the South East side of Nicola Lake ( A VERY pretty drive). The valley on the right leads to Lower Nicola ( blink and you missed it ) and continues west as the No. 8 to Lytton and then onto the No. 1 Highway (TransCanada) unless you take the turnoff north to Logan Lake ( where the road officially seems to become 97C ) and another half hour north is Kamloops.

For the record, Merritt is a very small town but large compared to whats around it- Kamloops is about 10 times bigger and is about an hour from here.
