Long Ago 9

The Long Ago photos were taken by my father...really long ago. Out of all the prints he had made up none of these images ever came to light until I scanned the negatives which were really beat up. Lots of scratch and dust removal with the cloning tool.
To my mind they are striking images of the family and friends of my father who was from Oberwart, Austria, and would have been taken between the early 50's and mid 60's in that area.
While I know it was my mother's influence that got me into photography it comes as a bit of a surprise at how my father was obviously interested in it...and he had talent. I am in the middle of retouching my favorite scans and it's kind of heartbreaking to realize that he probably could barely afford his hobby...people who came out of war usually had lost everything. My father never talked about it but I know it was not easy.
