This tutorial is a bit of a rant...it's mostly aimed at those who want to help but don't bother to consider how they are presenting their 'help'...downloads take some time and time has value so people should consider this when put together their tutorials...especially some no-brainers like the points made in this particular tutorial.
Feel free to critique but don't get mad if you see yourself in here!

EDIT: OF COURSE NONE OF THIS APPLIES IF THERE IS NO OPTION OF CREATING A PREVIEW IMAGE OF A JPEG TUTORIAL.
Further edit: this site cannot consistently render the preview images correctly- time for another rant!

I have to say now... I feel like I could have done bad on my last few tuts I made
I never send my stuff out for others to read first
I just do it
and always use screen shots that are thumb nails
and they are BIG like 900x700 or something
I dont know you tell me what you think

I think I may have been a bit harsh but most of it's true- my head hurts when I read really good tuts that are low contrast....grrr... Thanks!

Gawd...now I'm feeling embarassed.

I don't send my stuff out to read either but I'm pretty confident with my English skills and if I'm in doubt I run it thru MS Word before I transfer to this computer. Maybe it's an advantage to work on another machine because it slows a person down a bit....Na! I found plenty of boo-boo's in my tut although they are artistic ones mostly.

I LIKE screen shots of thumnails in html-style tutorials- a person is prepared for a big blow up. Html tuts are sizeable to a large degree so the opening pages of both your tutorials are just perfect. My 900 figure is based on what I'm guessing a smallish monitor can hold on-screen with all the side columns (favorites/bookmarks) turned off. Your large images are actually 1152 pixels wide! BUT you planned it out because the relevant stuff is to the left of the screen where everything defaults...the only real drawback on the picture is the little vectorpeep chicky is cut off at the tail...

Select a small portion of your tutorial (or a related picture) and create an image with it that you will submit in the preview box when you upload you tutorial.

Your welcome! :) I didn't mean to sound so curt but I lost my reply to you and had to rewrite it in a hurry! Now I think I'm going to make a tutorial on that subject!

I think a lot of people need that. I (for example) had no idee how to make a preview thingie.
