Did a quick look on the net as I was curious. Most countries that speak English (As opposed to American English) like The UK, Australia etc spell it as you have. Interesting how the languages are so close but not the same. Gray vs Grey, lift vs elevator, fag vs cigarette, boot vs trunk. Although on the whole I would guess that Canadian English is more like American English than British English.

I think fag is slang in England...but for some reason I always want to write 'grey' instead of 'gray'.
Do Americans say 'chesterfield' as opposed to couch/sofa? I know you guys like your 'sack' lunches too...we 'bag' ours. :)

I think my grandmother might have used 'chesterfield' when I was really young or at least I heard it while at her house. Fuzzy memory. But I haven't heard it in years from anyone. The sacked lunch vs bag I think i've heard both ways as far back as i can recall. I think my family tends toward bag though. Can you imagine an english speaking person from Shakespeares time trying to figure out what the heck a modern english speaking person is saying :lol:
