how do you make the patterns?

I compile them in Photoshop Elements where they can be used in pretty much any Photoshop application- but the originals are either made in Corel Draw (the clean cut style) with a few mathamatical principles applied or Corel Photopaint/PS Elements/ (the more photographic looking ones) usually with a tiling filter applied and/or some math.
